I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really happening.
